Planning tips for perfect pictures

Planning tips for perfect pictures

1. It’s a date

We love meeting new couples who are looking to book our services but we also know it’s not always possible. If we can’t meet face to face we offer the option to meet over zoom or have a chat in the phone. It’s so important that we are a good fit, after all we are coming to your wedding !

2. Time to plan

Getting the most out of your photographer is such an important part of planning, especially if we are only there for a few hours. At the final catch-up we will go through your timeline to make sure there is enough time for group and couple shots as well as some candid pictures of your guests.

3. Pop the question

Engagement shoots can really help you to get the most out of your day. They give you the opportunity to really get to know your photographer and we find that couples who have had an engagement shoot are a lot more relaxed on the day.

4. Family affair

A group shot list is a must, we will go through this at your final catch-up, it’s worth remembering that a group shot can take about 3-4 minutes so try to keep the list simple and prioritise the most important combinations.

5. Whatever the weather

This is Scotland after all! Umbrellas, wellingtons, sunscreen and flip-flops are all essentials and if possible just embrace the weather. It’s also helpful to have an indoor option for group and couples shots, just incase!

6. Tell us everything!

Your guests will love your surprises but to make sure we capture the moment (and the reaction!) tell us all about it in advance.
